The Dutch DJ Jeffrey Sutorius, the face of trio Dash Berlin, has broken his ties with Eelke Kalberg and Sebastiaan Molijn.

“The reason for the break up of the relationship is mismanagement for many years and the neglect of my interests”, the DJ reports in a statement.

“Recently I found out that Molijn and Kalberg together with Vanderkleij Agency have registered the name ‘Dash Berlin’ in their own name,” continues the Hagenaar. “I have not considered that this could lead to my being unable to act under this name now.”

The 38-year-old Sutorius is planning to go to court to get the name Dash Berlin back. “I have asked my lawyers to submit this to the court, so that this can be resolved.”

Negative impact

“All of this has had a negative impact on my health, and I’ve been advised to take it easy.”

Sutorius now has no access to his own social media channels. “I hope that everything will be resolved quickly and that I will be able to resume soon, I love my fans and hope they understand this.”

Dash Berlin won an International Dance Music Award with the song Waiting, which was released in 2009. The group also wrote hits for Alice Deejay, Vengaboys and Candee Jay and made remixes for international stars such as Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, N.E.R.D., Usher, Lenny Kravitz and Junkie XL.
